For thousands of years, babywearing has been a natural part of childcare. With the arrival of strollers in the past century, it almost disappeared from modern society. Yet, three-quarters of the world\u2019s population still carry their babies<\/strong>\u2014and babywearing is gradually making a comeback even in the \u201cmodern world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Why is that?<\/strong>
There is growing scientific evidence confirming the importance of contact, closeness, a sense of safety, and other psychological needs for healthy development.<\/strong> These studies refute the traditional myths claiming that babies can be \u201ccarried too much,\u201d that they will become overly dependent, clingy, or spoiled. That they must have a strict routine. That they must sleep separately, in their own room, and so on.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Your baby spent nine months as a part of your body\u2014used to a safe, enclosed space, warmth, the sound of your heartbeat, and the rhythm of your steps. Being born and separated from the mother does not mean they are instantly ready to be independent or to exist alone in an unfamiliar space. Just as they are not ready to immediately straighten their legs or lie flat on their back after birth. They need time.
Babywearing is a wonderful way to help your baby transition into the world gently\u2014supporting both their physical and emotional development.<\/p>\n
