To know how you can use the Belly Wrap, read the description below and find specific ways of tying it in the Tutorials section.

Pregnancy

At a time when the weight of the belly begins to put more strain on the uterine ligaments, abdominal muscles and spine, the Belly Wrap will help to lighten them and create additional support. We recommend using it especially during the active part of the day. It also acts as a prevention of diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles and pelvic floor problems. You can also use the Belly Wrap if you suffer from pelvic girdle pain during pregnancy, which can shoot up your lower back, spine, restrict your movement and make it significantly more uncomfortable to function during the day. By using the Belly Wrap, you can tighten the pelvis, gain more stability in the pelvic bone joints, which loosen up during pregnancy and postpartum due to hormones, and relieve the pain. For more on why it is important to use the Belly Wrap during pregnancy, watch the attached video.

Belly Wrap – why use it in pregnancy?

How to tie a pregnant belly?

The postpartum period

You will use the Belly Wrap immediately after the birth. You don’t have to worry that when you tie your tummy, the muscles will be inactive and weaken. First of all, you need to give your body support and allow it to heal. Just like when you put a broken arm in a cast. With this extra support, you help your breathing and the center of your body improve its function.

  • Vaginal delivery – after a vaginal delivery, when the pelvic ligaments are loosened, the Belly Wrap will help the pelvic bones to rejoin. You can be tied during rest and during routine tasks.
  • Section – after the C-section, the Belly Wrap will help center the abdominal organs and support the abdomen and wound so that there is no pressure on it from the inside.

How to tie the pelvis after childbirth with a Belly Wrap?

When carrying a baby

While carrying the baby, the Belly Wrap will provide support and relieve the pressure that the baby’s weight can put on your abdomen and the organs in the small pelvis (uterus, bladder, urethra, colon and rectum). We recommend that you continue to use the Belly Wrap while wearing until the muscles of your abdomen and pelvic floor are strong enough to handle this load without assistance.
