FIRST WASH
Our wraps are woven from yarns that have undergone a very gentle dyeing process to make them suitable for children under three years of age. Excess colour may therefore be washed out during the first washings. For this reason, wash the wrap separately or with related colours.
The wrap needs to be washed before first use. Washing completes the manufacturing process and the individual fibres fit together to achieve the desired strength and durability of the wrap. We also recommend washing the wrap for hygienic reasons. Always use the correct detergent – we recommend using only liquid detergent gels and not using fabric softener.
Especially for the first wash it is important to wash the wrap at the maximum temperature indicated on the label, later you can wash it at a lower temperature (never at a higher one).
For our wraps we use combed cotton that is both stronger and softer. It is the most versatile material when choosing a wrap for both a newborn and an older baby. The difference is in the density, that means the thickness and weight of the wrap. The higher the weight, the thicker and supportable the wrap is. Cotton is very soft, absorbs moisture/sweat well and needs no special care.
Washing
For washing, use a liquid washing gel without optical brighteners, do not use fabric softener. Wash at 40 °C according to the instructions on the label at the diagonal hem of the wrap, on a delicate programme. Spin at low speed (we recommend 600-800).
Drying
You can dry a cotton wrap on an accordion dryer, away from direct heat and sunlight.
Ironing
Iron on medium for cotton with steaming/steam.
Storage when not wearing
You can use all types of storage, cotton is sturdy - classic folding or roll-up.
